East Hampshire needs more GPs

1.8 GP million appointments took over 2 weeks to happen in our NHS area last year

People had to wait more than two weeks for over 1.8 million GP appointments in Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS in 2023. This means too many people are not seeing a GP when they need to.

When healthcare is delayed, outcomes are worse for the patient and more expensive for the NHS. Liberal Democrats are calling for more GPs for East Hampshire, and for measures to relieve the pressure on GPs, such as allowing pharmacists to issue some prescriptions.

Do you agree with us that East Hampshire needs more GPs so everyone can access the care they need, when they need it?
