Discussion group: Neurodiversity - what is it, is it increasing, how can families be supported?

21 Apr 2026

The speaker is Larisa Mendresse-Elder. She is the Centre Manager at the Kings Arms project in Petersfield.

She will talk about 3 things -
•    What are the different types of neurodiversity?
•    Is there an increase in the number of young people with neurodiversity and, if so, why?
•    How can we support the children and their families effectively including looking at central and local government policies, and the role of voluntary organisations.
