Landslide Lib Dem Win in Alton Amery - 55% of the Vote

The East Hampshire Liberal Democrats are delighted to announce the election of Lizzie Marshall as the new councillor for the Alton Amery ward on East Hampshire District Council.

Lizzie secured a decisive victory in the Alton Amery by-election, held on Thursday 21 August 2025, achieving 407 votes - 55% of the total - miles ahead of all other parties.

This result sends a clear message: local people want a Liberal Democrat voice that listens, energises and delivers results.

Cllr Lizzie Marshall said:
“I am honoured to have been elected to represent Alton Amery. Thank you to everyone who put their trust in me. I will work tirelessly for our community and be a strong, local voice on the council.”

EHDC Liberal Democrat Group Leader, Cllr Elaine Woodard, said:
